| Doesn't look like something I know. I'm thinking Jtree by the color of the granite and Patina on it... The again, I don't boulder outdoors (damn the knees) so I've never been to hueco and I am not sure if the two could be visually confused. I wait to hear with interest. That's one of the fun things about this thread. I used to look at the mags and try to guess the climb or at least the area on every pic before reading captions. I'd usually get it right. Now, with so much more international coverage in the mags, it is a tougher game. | FLAG |

| That's definitely in the Happy Boulders or Buttermilks, but I'm not familiar enough to say where. | FLAG |

So I guess we move on to Brian's "u.s.a" picture above. And I've done that very route, which is something on Mt Diablo. I'm going with Amazing Face on my guess. Is that the one that finished to the nice round hold that's in your right hand. I recall that one, just not 100% sure of on which route! | FLAG |

| So very very close. Its Mont Diablo Boy Scout Rocks The middle tier, Unknow 5.9. Worst route there, just happen to have a pic. Amazing face is on the lower tier about a hundred yard away which is the best climb there. Sorry no pics. | FLAG |

No tick-checking necessary- if you look at my "ticks" (Stars/comments/grades) you will see that I've done most of those routes. The area is pretty distinct, but the routes are not. Anyway, that's why I guessed the most "classic" line of the area- because the thread was about well-recognized classics. Hmmm. what next? Someone will jump on this one quickly since it shows the whole classic line:

| Paul- Bone white with more pockets than a pants store- is that something in Wild Iris or is it just Shelf Road and over-exposed? | FLAG |

| Don't let my blinding whiteness fool you into thinking its overexposed- this steep to slightly overhung pocketed limestone climb boasts beautiful vistas of the Winds and a slightly overhanging rappel....Cowboy up and give it a crank, amigo

Well, OK sounds like it is in Wild Iris... but I can't guess what. I've never climbed there as I don't go on Sport-climbing road-trips. I've climbed in the winds, but as for Wild Iris, I've only seen pictures. Looks like you have a bidder on the name of the route though. | FLAG |

| um....yes, there are other ways, but some of my fondest trips have been those mega route days at sport areas such as wild iris. here's an example of another way to climb the opposite: name this boltless classic!
