Ok, it looks like we reached some type of page limit on forum threads (40 pages, 1000 posts). I'm not about to let some silly thing like the laws of physics stand in our way!

Eric Larson was correct, you have the stick...

Meanwhile a extra credit question:
What route is to it's right and how did it get its name. The latter has 3 "common" answers (can you name all 3?), but only one is true.
The extra extra credit ? after that is what climb is right from there (not pictured ) and how did it get its's name?

Big windy pile of dirt, aka the stone sentinel?

Mike Anderson · · Colorado Springs, CO · Joined Nov 2004 · Points: 3,265

Windy? Not really, and not dirt, more like "ash".

Brenta wins! It's Ixtaccihuatl in Mexico, 8th highest summit in North America. That photo is taken near the trailhead looking at the summit.

A winter day in Colorado. We had the whole (very popular) place to ourselves for a little practice.

A very popular route on a very cold day.

looks like something in eldo... steep... and classic?

brenta · · Boulder, CO · Joined Feb 2006 · Points: 75

It is indeed in Eldo. Steepness... is in the eye of the beholder.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
