On Wednesday may 16 I will be at red rock taking on 35 different leads for my 35th birthday. Climbs will range from 5.7-5.11c with a possible 5.12a depending on stamina. We will be starting off at cowlick crag at dawn and then off to cannibal, civilization, hamlet, black corridor and possibly meetup wall as a backup plan. After the climbing we are going to set up camp at the BLM campground group site C. If you are in the area and see us, please show your support. I will be the one with the Pikachu chalk bag.

35 pitches in one day, in the heat of the desert sun? You are a true hard core desert rat- That's awesome! If my partner, and I are in town, we'll stop by, and will gladly cheer on a local climber. The campsite get together sounds fun too- it's hard for us to pass up a good party. : )

Thanks for the reply, our preliminary schedule is cowlick 6-630 cannibal 630-8 civilization 830-11 hamlet 1130-1230 and black corridor 1-until I'm done. If burnout or busy routes happens we will move up to meetup wall for some easier stuff or sweet pain for harder stuff. Hope to see you. If you don't make the climbs check in with us at group site c maybe around 7 for the party!

Hey Ash- sounds awesome! We're planning on doing a long multi-pitch tomorrow. We'll try and stop by at the CG party afterwards if we're not too wasted already . Hope you succeed in knocking out all your planned climbs! Woohoo!

Well, I guess I feel like I'm 20 again. I began to suffer from a mild heat stroke at 20 climbs and had to call it quits. Thanks for the support and birthday wishes.

Congrats on the 20 pitches on your birthday. That's not bad. It was really hot - 100 degrees in town - that day.
