Girlfriend wants to get out tomorrow, anyone know conditions on Moffatt Tunnel and/or Hidden Falls?

Hidden Falls at Wild Basin is in. There is a WI3 flow to the left of the Main Flow (called Kiddie Flow) that was pretty wet but fat. The Main Flow is in about WI4 on the left side and would make the best lead to the bolted anchor. I led the right side of Main Flow and it was pretty slushy and had water running behind it.

Viking helmet cover, yep.
Thank Tom and Andy! We actually ended up at Moffatt Tunnel this morning; the flow on the far side is fat but drippy today with the warmth, the pillar to the left of the main flow is in but pretty hacked out (no swinging necessary). It looked like the flow closest to the parking lot was in, but not as fat as I've seen it before. We didn't get a close look though.

Scott, thanks for posting! What's the "approved" access for climbs like the Real Blue Creek? The approach in Roberts is across private land and parking seems problematic too based on prior reccys that I've done. I don't want to be "that guy" and create or worsen access issues with or for locals.

Kevin when we climbed it we parked at the pullout on highway 50 right before you get to Blue Creek. We dropped down to the creek and followed it to the base of the climb. The creek was frozen and it was surprisingly easy travel.

Pretty good but the popular stuff (Avocado, Pillar, Drool) is pretty hacked up and stuff that gets sun is getting hammered right now.

On a sidenote, Rifle is good as well as Hidden Falls in Glenwood Canyon.

Hidden Falls in RMNP is in pretty good shape overall.
I was there on Friday, and it was running water / rebuilding itself.

If you want to see it, I did a blog post video.
(Check the looks, or enjoy the video…)

Nice vid... Hidden Falls looks about as cruiser and fat as it gets! Unusual to have the cave fully covered. At least for the last few years! Nice.

Did the Lincoln thing Wed. It's pretty much it's usual brittle and platie self. Lots of ice though, little snow coverage, and the pillars are all looking pretty good. Go early, beat the cluster-F of crowds...

The Crypt at Loch Vale is in. It appeared to me in a vision I had while topping out Mixed Emotions. I don't know how good it's in but it's there.

Just a heads-up, we were looking at AMU through the binoculars today and noticed what looked like a crown wall and slide path on the snowfield below the final pitch. Didn't look like the snow above the climb had slid (yet).

Was up in the area on 1/19, Alexander's looked thin from the rim of Chasm Lake. Columbine Falls / Peacock Pool ice looked amazingly fat, so if Alexander's wasn't in you could always aim for that, just keep your avi wits about you. Saw evidence of patchy slabs underneath Lady Washington.

Hidden falls was in great shape today minus the 2' of snow that dumped on us. Oh and the guys that apparently don't like to yell "ice" lol. But the ice was great while we were alone. Falls major is 3+ to 4. Flow to the right was 4+ but a little brittle. All in all great sticks and short hike.
