Moved to Laramie a few days ago and was wondering if there is any guidebook for bouldering in Vedauwoo or the surrounding areas? Any other information on climbing in the area is appreciated.

Have you checked atmosphere or cross country? The new guide book for the voo doesn't cover much bouldering, however I'm sure atmosphere off of 2nd has what you're looking for. The MP page can be a little confusing, I know.

Get off your ass and go trad climbing with your roommate that has a double rack. THAT is the key to bouldering in the Voo.

bumping, any information on bouldering in the surrounding areas is appreciated. Unfortunately none of the shops in Laramie still carry Davins bouldering guidebook for the Voo

Best bet is then asking locals, make friends, or just get out there and explore! My first week in Laramie I didn't know a single person in town and so I just went around the Voo exploring and talking with folks.

I sent you a e-mail but maybe it's in your spam folder.

I'd ask Davin about his book. Send him an e-mail through his blog (see below) and mention that you're new to Laramie. I know he used to run a gym in Laramie but I think it closed?? I have his book and don't mind looking up info for you - but mountain project is fine on it's own. Some of the boulders are a bit hard to find on your first visit but the mtn project descriptions are pretty good... Feel free to pm me if you want more extensive beta about a particular problem.

There's really great bouldering at needle peak (1hr 15 min from you w/ snowy mtn road closed): wyomingbouldering.blogspot.…

There are some great problems in Vedauwoo but the style at needle peak is a lot different. There's a lot less people at needle peak since it's BLM land - so there's that. But I find the overall quantity of quality boulder problems to be really high at needle peak. I've only been once, but if you have any Q's let me know.
