Hey, is there a place near Boulder that is decent for dry tooling? Preferably something I can throw a top rope on / rope solo and that is accepted as a dry tooling area (i.e., no rock climbers will kill me).

Rock Island if they opened it back up to climbing.

^^^ Exactly. Find that most chipped, blacklisted route and GO!

Seriously though, why not at the Boulder Canyon ice flows areas?

Is this the area you are referring to:

mountainproject.com/v/bould…

?

Thanks for the info I will check it out. Was unfamiliar the sport park sounds like a sh*t show. Any ideas as to why Rock Island is closed?

Cheers.

The Pork Spark was mostly a joke..
people would get mad, but that's a whole other thread! ;)

If you find where the ice flows, that should be fine.
Or any chossy, undeveloped rock.

Vail is the best, but a bit of a drive...

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
