Hiya!
Just got back from the Valley, and I have big wall fever! I only dabbled in it while out there, but gotta do more.
I solo climbed several C2 pitches to figure aid out, and hauled on many of them. Then I climbed the Leaning Tower with a partner in two days. Not content, I left my gear at the base and came back to solo it in a 15hr, overnight push to beat the heat and the crowds.
So after climbing only trad for 9 years, I'm looking to explore more big walls with the help of aid! Not to say that I haven't climbed big routes before (the Black, the Park, etc), now I want to throw some aid pitches in the mix.
I'm looking for a partner to do routes that are:
-long and sometimes require a bivy or two
-mix aid and free climbing, but some all-aid routes are ok (El Capitan!)
-are clean or nearly clean
-are in Yosemite, The Black, Zion, Red Rock, and more!
Are you experienced? Not necessarily stoned, but:
-have a few years of trad under your belt
-follow best practices for safety
-efficient and smooth, with a focus on speed without being hasty
Then you should hit me up!
One snag is that I don't have a car. I live in Boulder, and can get down to Denver, but that's about it. However, I have a lot of the gear, and will be getting a ledge sooner than later.
I just got the Supertopo Zion: Free and Clean book, and have been drooling over the winter possibilities, let's get after it!
If you can just get your mind together, then come across with me...I think they're calling our names
I got goals...
...big goals
