SizeSquirrel - Climbing Shoe Sizing & Sales

I wouldn't worry much about the ads. If it really bothers people then they can use an ad blocker. Who knows, maybe you could get some revenue from the ads to pay for the hosting costs. |
|
So do you get referrals for clicks on the Amazon ads? Or do you get them if I click on an ad through sizesquirrel and then purchase the shoes? I clicked on both suggestions just in case that helps haha |

Great idea. Added a handful of shoes. Not sure if this has been said but I would include EU sizes for more accuracy |

If I'm desperate and have no way of trying a pair on, I check this bookmark it's been accurate most of the time but as always YMMV. |

I'm sorry if this sounds rude, but I don't see myself (or many other people) registering for a site they plan to use once especially if it doesn't work the first time they try it.The entire concept only works if people register and put in their shoes and the fit. Just because you want to benefit from other people's time/effort without putting any in yourself, doesn't mean he should encourage the behavior. Eddie, especially with the addition of mountaineering boots, I am definitely going to register and add my (limited) collection. Good stuff! |

Hi everyone, just wanted to make a quick update. |

Jason L. wrote:Registered, and added my two cents..Er pairs. I'll check back periodically to see when you add dead bird approach shoes. Really like the process. Will get wife signed up, as she needs some 2nd pair. If can find right shoes, will use Amazon link to buy. Thanks man! I appreciate the support. Keep an eye on this thread, I will update it when I add new features and things... What are "dead bird approach shoes"? EDIT: I got it as soon as I posted this. Dead Bird = arcteryx |

Random question, if my wife had a pair of women's shoes, and wants to size to a men's for wider and stiffer shoe, will the EU sizing method help with the translation across the great sexist shoe divide of 2016? |

The site is smart enough to take this into account. So it doesnt matter which sizing format you input, it knows the equivalent of USW, USM, EU when it calculates matches. If you're looking at say going from a Womens Solution's to a Men's Solution's. Those are completely different shoes as far as the site is concerned so it might be hard finding matches.... |

Eddie Ferrer wrote: No there isnt. I'm not sure this would be very helpful, since street shoe size varies quite a bit.I can think of some benefits of adding street shoes. Yes they differ, but some shoes fit feet better than others. If someone else wears a size 10.5EE Nike shoe, than that may give me further insight as to what brand of climbing shoe might fit my foot better. A ton more work to add them, not sure the benefits outweigh the costs (your time), but i'd personally love to see them added. Glad to see the Arc'teryx shoes added. |

Added another pair, those with large chose collections...please use this site. Free, easy and helpful to many in this digital shopping age. Buying a pair of shoes off MP tonight, can only hope they fit. Need all your sizes. |

This app has the basic problem for most crowd-sourced databases: There isn't anything interesting on there until a whole bunch of people commit to adding stuff without seeing any benefit themselves. Just a couple of ideas: |
