Hey!

I'm on a research project exploring climbing culture and climber needs. We'd love to speak to some beginners, or extreme newbies for this project to understand some barriers of starting out.

IN-person interviews will be taking place in San Francisco, New York City, Salt Lake City, and Yosemite/Tahoe through July/August. The interviews will be compensated.

If you're interested please fill out this survey. goo.gl/xu2Ro3

Note: There is no compensation for filling out this survey. Completing the survey does not guarantee you will be selected to participate. We will get in touch with those who we feel are a good fit.

Knowing the crue around here ... You need to define beginner. I'm a beginner in my mind when it comes to leading multi pitch climbs. Of course we're all also an extremely cautious group. I've got the single pitch down like a vet and toproping we're all pros in the matter of a week. Sport is another topic and in my opinion gonna generate a lot of discussion about fitness.

Let me know and I'll meet you in NYC. We can climb Trump tower together.

All the best.

Seriously, dinner at Nobu and I'm there!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
