Come on out to the first annual Rumney Rendezvous! It will be held on the weekend of 9/9-911. The event will feature food, music, clinics, and intense beta spray! Proceeds for the event will go toward the purhase of the Final Frontier, the last privately-owned tract of land on the Rumney hillside. Psyched to see you there! climbrumney.com/event/rumne…

I am getting hyped for this event, Rumney has long needed something like this. Is camping across from the parking lot included in the ticket price?

I am psyched that the RCA is joining the many other areas by creating their own rendezvous! Sure hope this is the first of many! If anyone is planning on camping at Rattlesnake Mountain Campground, you should call 603-786-2330 and make reservations. My guess is it will fill up fast.

Thanks for the questions everyone. Since this is the first annual Rumnevouz (Thanks Chad!), we're adding details to the site as we know them. Here are a few details: --Camping is not included in the admission, but available for pay in the field. --The clinics are getting ironed out, but they are about what you'd expect. Probably along the lines of Intro to Trad, Intro to Sport, Advanced Sport Climbing, etc. --Included in the non-clinic ticket price ($30) is music, access to the vendor village, and some RCA swag (TBD). --Raffle tickets are available for purchase, and the raffle should have some really cool stuff. --Food should be available for purchase. Again, proceeds go to the Final Frontier purchase, so it's really all about coming together and helping to preserve Rumney. Here's more info: climbrumney.com/cause/final… If you're interested in volunteering at the event, please contact me directly. More details will be posted as we get them figured out. Thanks!

Also, there's music. Friday night is an Open Mic Night. There are still 1 or 2 slots left for this. Saturday there is scheduled live music. Krista Baroni from RI is playing, as are the Rusty Bones, a popular local band. There may be 1 more band on Saturday. The current webpage with the preregistration will be replaced shortly with a lot more details. Thanks! --Pete

If you are attending the event, parking is included. The Camara's have more than enough parking space in their fields. As for how to get there, here is a map for the detour.
