Is this one of those "private cliffs"? Above Fairfield Lake in Sapphire Valley, NC

Dear Lord, someone tell me there's a way to climb this:

It's privately owned and closed. Just look across the valley and head into Panthertown instead.

Yep, Old Bald. Owned by Camp Merrie Wood there at the base.

Or head to Laurel Knob. We own that one, and it's bigger.

I used to know some camp counselors who always said we could come climb on it. Never did tho.

It's good. Laurel and Big Green are better, use your energy and time to get there instead.

Climbed out. Nothing to see here, move along.

Worth remembering that word is Buddy Price took a 100 footer here putting up a banner or something for the Bicentennial. Just an indication of how long climbing has been done there.
