I've been climbing in the gym on and off for a couple years and I'm now looking to make the transition to the crag. All I have for gear right now is a 70m rope, shoes, harness, some quickdraws, and an ATC. With my limited gear and outdoor skills, I'm looking to do some top roping and/or sport climbs. I'd love to meet up with someone early-ish Friday at Crow Hill in Leominster for some laid back climbing. What I lack in gear and experience, I make up for by not being a dick and generally being pretty easy to get along with. Let's climb!
You do know it's supposed to be beastly hot tomorrow? You can join our group of relative newbies the next time we go which will probably be next week.

You may want to join the ClimbRI email group. climbri.org There are people climbing outside just about every weekend local to Providence and they are posted on the email group. There are 80 foot cliffs a half hour from Providence and a lot closer than Crow Hill. Brian
I was swept up in the excitement of climbing and I forgot to check the forecast before posting. I appreciate the offer to join you and I hope I'm able to soon.
Brian:
Thanks for the suggestion! I joined the mailing list and I'm looking forward to getting out closer to Rhode Island. These 80 foot cliffs you're talking about, would that be at Ross's Pond in CT?
