TO-Do List Export or Sort By function

Hey Admins,

Would it be possible to either be able to export the To-do list or sort by a category (ie. difficulty or location)?

Sorting by location is really good for trips while sorting by difficulty is a good way to measure progression/ set goals for local areas.

Or just exporting would allow us users to do that using excel

Thought it'd be a cool feature

You can export your To Do List using a link at the top of your page:

Nick, I see the option to export the tick list, but do not see any such option for the To-Do list - just the printer friendly view.

Sorry, I responded with morning brain! We don't have an export for To Dos.

Thanks for the response Nick, I think I may write an excel macro to tackle this. I'll post it when/if I finish it. Might be a cool little programming project.

Still working on it but here is a semi solution using Excel.

1.)Click on Data Tab

2.)Click on "From Web" in the "Get External Data" panel in the toolbar (top leftish)



3.)Copy and past the URL for your TO-DO list on mt project into the "New Web Query" Address bar

4.) Select the table you want to import

5.) Press import



I haven't gotten the macro to good functionality level yet but this should be a good temporary fix

I'd like to resurrect this post and request a better sort option for the To Do List on each person's page. Trying to sort my list manually is not even close to worth it, but I think this should be a fairly easy addition to MP that would make it much easier to use.

Possible sort options: area, difficulty, type (bouldering, sport, trad, etc.), stars.

Any chance the MP computer geeks can figure something out?

Agreed and in the plans for the site re-write that is happening this year.  It will be late 2017 before we get to this page, however.
