I have a friend who is a guide and has climbed Rainier before and we're looking for someone to come along with us to help lower the cost of gas. We'll leave early on the 21st or late on the 20th and be back late on the 26th. Only costs will be gas, food, and sitting in a car for 38 hours. If anyone is interested shoot me a message.

The title of this thread would suggest not.

I'm interested to hear if the OP pulled it off. The idea of trying to climb Rainier after driving 38 straight hours sounds dreadful, and kind of dangerous.

Arriving late on the 22nd at the earliest and leaving on the 24th. That gives you the 23rd and most of the 24th to hop out of the car and run up and down Rainier. From Dahlonega at 1400 feet elevation. Less than a 2 day window.

If you guys actually did this, I am boggled at the whole thing
