No serious injury, but I'm a beginner and after a day of climbing (some slab, some crack, etc.) my hands are just very tired and sore. This may sound like a stupid question but is this something I should ice? heat? Or simply leave alone? Thanks. Sorry, again, I'm a beginner.
refrain from the touching yourself for some few weeks coming

Probably not directly relevant to the OP, but at 50 I find my hands start to ache after a few days of climbing. I find that using tape gloves or crack gloves, leather gloves to belay, soaking them in cold water, and putting some lotion on them at night helps.
I suspect the root cause is the gripping associated with pulling thousands of feet of rope through an atc, with the actual climbing being a second order affect.
Some tricks I found that help a lot -soaking in cold water feels really good or holding an ice cold beer! -pretend your making a bird beak with your hand so all your fingers make like a cone shape. Put a rubber band over the tip of this cone(can be a heavy duty or light depending on what feels better) once the band is on open your hand with the rubber band adding resistance. This helps work opposing muscles so you don't get tendonitis which is a bitch and also helps heal it. - various and and finger stretches before and after climbing or as you sit and watch tv, read , etc -this one is wacky but I feel like having a diet with a lot of garlic helps as it is a blood thinner. I will even eat a clove of the raw stuff before I climb as I feel it holds of the pump. Also I imagine that since it helps deliver blood more effiecently around the body it helps with the healing process. It is considered one of the most important healing herbs in Chinese medics for healing colds, flus etc. so why not climbing!
