Trad Partner wanted - Tuolumne, Eastern Sierra, Needles, Tahoe

Hi,

I'm currently in Oakland but I just quit my job so I'm looking to get out with experienced partners for a week or 2 at a time, weekends are also fine. I'm a safe leader who can usually climb 5.10 on gear. I have a rack, ropes and vehicle. It'd be nice to find someone at my level or slightly higher to push my limits. I'll be in Tuolumne for the next few days doing easy solos unless I find a partner. After the 4th, I'd like to get on some long High Sierra routes. Anyone else have time off and wanna get out?

Hey Pat
I have July 2 to 8 free and am looking to get out on a climbing trip
I have lead trad upto 5.8 and sport upto 5.10. I can definitely follow 5.10 on either. I also have lead multi pitch in valley and Tahoe in this range. So if you are still looking for a partner i am available these days. Anywhere in CA works for me.
Cheers.

I work 2 days on followed by 4 days off so I'm able to head up often and any days of the week. Looking for similar grades and want to do dike route among many others. Plenty of gear also. Coming from the peninsula.

I'm from Bend and climb the same grades. Would love to come down and do some long moderates. Available anytime.

Thanks for responding everyone. I injured my hand in a stupid mountain bike crash on the 4th - I've been waiting for it to heal but it's really bumming me out. I didn't want to commit to partners while this thing is healing. I'll reach out to everyone in a couple days and hopefully we can get out there.

Hi all,

I'm in a similar situation, free for all of August and looking to climb alpine multipitch and 5.10 cracks in the Sierras. Still getting a feel for the grades in the area but I was fine leading all pitches on cardinal pinnacle's west face. Looking to hit some moderate classics (bear Creek spire north arete, clyde minaret southeast face, third pillar of dana) but I'm up for anything.

Sean,

Just saw your post, and by coincidence saw your name in the summit register on Mt. Emerson yesterday. I had free-soloed the SE Face. I think I'll head to yosemite today. I lead in the 5.10's on trad gear as well. One thing on my list is Charlotte Dome. But I'm open to anything classic. Reply or call 208-773-3831. I prefer email over text because I pay for every text and get email just as quickly anyway.

Ciao,

Hey! My name is Christina and I am coming down from Squamish for much of the month of August. I'm also keen to meet folks. I lead up to 5.9 on gear and have a rack/rope.

You probably have some better matched partner options but I am travelling solo and always happy to meet other climbers and can always be a backup partner option! (I can follow up to 5.11 - I'm just coming off an injury and taking it easier leading these days).

See you down there!

If anybody is still keen on the needles contact me before I drive to the Sierras (from Vegas).

(Actually, if you're keen to climb anywhere cool let me know)

The number works just fine; you get that message if I'm out of service (I don't use voicemail).

Current plan is to climb Whitney/fishhook until Wednesday then I'm free for whatever.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
