Hi all, I’ll be in Yosemite July 28 – September 27!! I plan on spending most of that time in Tuolumne, as I hear: the Valley will be boiling, and the alpine routes in Tuolumne are made of solid gold[en granite].
I’m looking to find partners who are motivated to get on just about anything. I love cruising up easy routes, scaring myself on runout routes (sometimes), and trying on hard routes. The only time I’ve been to Yosemite the pass had opened days before, and I spent a week in the Valley.
I’ve been climbing trad, almost exclusively, for the last nine years. I double check my belay device, double check my partner’s knot, love to move quickly and efficiently on moderates, laugh a lot, take pictures, dislike being cold, place good gear, hip belay when appropriate, puedo hablar un poco español, am neither slow nor fast while hiking, and am addicted to crack.
I don’t have a car, so you’ll have to pick me up if the trailhead isn’t near the campground. I’ll be buying a cheap bike, so if you are car-less as well, we can still get out (along with the shuttles).
I may be dropping down into the Valley later in September, so hit me up if you'd like to climb there as well.
Hit me up if you’re as excited to climb in this gorgeous area as I am! Tim
Hi Tim, I live just north of Yosemite and am very stoked on climbing for the season. I am self employed and have my own vehicle so the sky is the limit to meet up and do some awesome stuff. My skill level in trad is somewhat minimal, up to 5.10 but I can follow up to late 5.11 or early 5.12. My rack consists of triple pieces from smalls in metolius to a couple pieces of offwidth pieces in BD, ropes, and some aid equipment. I was planning on spending a lot of time in Tuolumne myself and want to do some quick summits of the moderate peaks in in the Cathedral Range. Hope to here from you soon, enjoy your summer and CLIMB ON brother
