Has anyone been up to Clyde Minaret in the last week, or knows a source for snow information in that area? I am planning on climbing Clyde on July 2-3 and am trying to figure out if it will be climbable, and how much snow will be on route/ the approach.

Here is a recent thread about conditions at Bear Creek Spire:

The SE Face of Clyde is, uh, southeast-facing, so it's likely the route is dry. Probably some snow on the approach, but that's mostly east-facing, too. Do it!

Edit: I think the local guide services would have up-to-date info on conditions and are usually pretty helpful. Here's a good local service you can contact:

Not sure if this helps, but we were at Ediza the other weekend.

Thanks for the beta... I am going to give sierra mountain guides a call tomorrow. It has been in the 80s in Mammoth for the last week or so, so I am hoping that some of that snow will be gone..... maybe wishful thinking for 12,000 feet.
