Looking for Intermediate level climbing partner

Hey all,

I've started outdoor climbing a few months ago, having only done indoor climbing before that. I'm very comfortable with the knots, gear and set up, cleaning gear (trad and sport, and cleaning rope), rapelling, etc. I've climbed, top rope, up to a 5.9+ outdoors, but my favorite climbs are long multi-pitch "easy" climbs (5.6 - 5.8). I've only done 2 pitch climbs so far for the lack of a partner. I'm not at the point where I just want to try harder stuff yet (but I'm willing to do so, on top rope), I'm at the point where I want to climb as often as possible, weekdays included, and practice leading and other relevant techniques (crack climbing, friction climbing, etc), enjoy the incredible views and have fun.

I'm very safety oriented and I'm looking for someone like that as well. If I'm belaying you on the lead, my focus is on you, not on chatting with other people on the ground, and I expect the same level of respect. Making sure the gear is put properly, gate position on quick draw, proper cam placements, etc is part of what I care about and I look for the same level of detail on a partner.

I'm searching for a climbing partner that is at a similar level or willing to help me quickly get up to speed on the leading techniques (quickly doesn't mean I'm rushing it, I just do learn things fast). I'm at the point where I can start learning and practicing leading, but I lack a reliable partner with whom I could do so.

I'm willing to try and partner up with someone at a beginner level, but we would need to spend some quality time at the gym first until we are both comfortable with each other's skills.

I'm located in Asheville, NC.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Alan.

Thanks, I forgot I wasn't within my own area here.
