Hi everyone,
Can any of you recommend a good climbing guide for Yosemite?

Cheers!

I assume you're looking for a guidebook for the valley?

Edit: There is also a Supertopo guidebook for Tuolumne Meadows.

Hi Frank,
yeah the Valley and Tuolumne Meadows. I'm just getting back into climbing, and it would be a dream to learn to trad and climb up there.
Thanks so much!

Yo Mia,

There is a new guidebook coming out for Yosemite. Due to arrive in a few weeks, put together by several of us. You can preorder here for 25% off:

The Supertopo guides are way outdated at this point, unfortunately.

Best,
Erik

You were looking for a guidebook, not a guide service, right?

The only guide service that can legally guide in YNP is YMS.

Erik has just published his own book and is trying to increase sales by denigrating the Supertopo guidebooks.

The Supertopo guidebooks are still relevant and a great source of information.

Hi Erik,
will do! Thanks! Yeah, i was looking at the dates they were published and thought it could be missing some good info.

Frank, yes i was looking for guide books. I'd love explore and climb the area with some people who know it well, but I don't know a lot of climbing people, yet. Do you climb there a lot?

I've climbed there several times, but not "a lot." I mostly avoid Yosemite Valley due to crowds and costs. Tuolumne is a much more mellow scene.

Awesome. I'll check out the links as well. Thank you!
