Rumney Guidebook
Does anyone have an idea of where to find the Rumney guidebook for a reasonable price or are they still impossible to get? |
Are they hard to find now? Usually the local gear shop in rumney has a few copies. I tried going with a ghetto guide from here prior to having a smart phone. Those printed pages sucked, I went and bought the guidebook at that shop the next day. Worth every penny! Guide books are weird. I have a rare New England bouldering guidebook I bought for 5 bucks at an Rei on a whim. Now it's out of print and worth a lot I'm told. Sometimes impulse buys work in your favor lol. |

the new falcon guide to climbing in new england has a bunch of Rumney in it, that plus mountain project app on your phone and you should be good. |

I heard that Ward said the 4th edition is coming soon, like actually this summer maybe possibly maybe. |

I don't mean to be such a whiner, however it could that at this point in time (and already for some time now), Rumney is the biggest/best sport climbing destination that doesn't have a guidebook. A reprint of the previous version would be already a huge improvement... And it could fund whatever endeavour, rebolting, new project etc... that needs funding... |
I think that Ward is pretty close to publishing the newest edition--by this fall at least. |
The new book is off to the printers on Monday. Depending upon how backed up they are, it should be out in three weeks. I am going to talk to Mr. Camara across the street and see if I can sell them there as soon as they come out. The price will be $ 35. Ward |
Hot dang! Is there a way to preorder the book? I plan on reading that thing cover-to-cover ASAP. |
Mr Camara would be swamped with climbers if he sold your guidebook, Ward. Hmmm ... $10 a night to camp or $40 to camp and guidebook ... That may entice more to camp there! |
Awesome! Ward, please let us know which shops will physically carry this, in the Plymouth NH area. |
Looking for a partner in Rumney. Is this the right place to ask? |

Back on topic - I have 2 copies of the 2001 guidebook (the one with Predator on the cover). Anybody still looking for one? Cheaper than the new book! |
Just pre-ordered my copy |
