Access Issue: Private Property
Details
Burney Limestone is technically on private property that is owned by Bear Gulch Quarry. There have been access concerns in the past between climbers and the landowners, although it has been many years. Please respect the area, keep a low profile, and leave it cleaner than you found it.
Description
The first slab climb at the shredding! Bring your slab game, and be ready for some head scratching. Follows the obvious bolt line from the comfortable ledge to chains.
Location
From the road, locate the right hand buttress (The elephants head). The slab is to climbers left 40'. Shiny bolts.
If you rapped in, top out and walk off left. If you started at the base, a 70m gets you to the bottom from the upper chains, or there is a rap station at the ledge 25' from the ground.
