For folks who are looking for something a bit different and not scared of some wet and bushwhacking, I wrote up details on scrambling Left Wishbone in the warmer months here: |

Sick, going add this to my growing list of hikes/climbs! |

Thanks for sharing!! Looks like something I need to put on the list. |

Thanks for posting this great discription! I’m in town for a few days for thxgiving and wanted to see if anyone knew what the conditions were for the scramble? |
|
Funny that you ask today. I took this photo at noon today, as it’s the first time Celo Knob has looked sorta wintery this year. I would imagine you’d encounter shitty verglas on some of the upper sections this week |

The weather forecast for the next couple weeks is absurdly dry. Here’s a weather station near the base: So maybe. But it seeps most of the time and it’ll be colder at the start of it 1000 feet higher than this station and much colder nearer the top. But it does get dryer the higher you go. Go try it and see what you find |

Thank you for the update. Maybe I’ll bring some microspikes if I head up |
|
Never mind that. What are the chances it's gonna form up with fat ice! |

I went up the scramble yesterday, super fun route. Thanks Brian for the perfect description. I had no issues finding the slabs. It was pretty wet and had to bushwack a lot of it. I'm def gonna come back in warmer temps to run up it again. Here's an idea of what 90% of the route was like |

Colder temps. Freeze baby freeze |
