Three Finger Canyon area, to be precise.
Contact me directly with detailed description if you lost yours.

Maybe you should take it to the local animal control and see if it's microchipped. Did it have any tags on it?

I have 2 dogs of my own and have already covered the obvious: she had no collar nor is she microchipped. I've also had her vaccinated since there's no way of knowing if she had her shots.

I just posted here on the off chance that she might belong to a climber, as that area is otherwise seldom visited, especially this time of the year.

Emir...good for you. Hope you find her a good home.

It is possible she may have been dumped out there, and you saved her life.

Can you post a picture please?

Yeah post a pic please.

If she's nice and vaccinated... I might be willing to take her if you don't find a claimer.

The reason I didn't post a picture (or description) is because I'd like to avoid false claims.
I'm gonna look after her for a little while to try and find the original owner, if that's possible. If I decide to adopt her out, I'll be sure to update this thread. She's very sweet, athletic, and agile and will make a great crag dog.

Location is way off, but someone had posted on FB about this dog lost near Fisher Towers:

I have contact info if it's her (Jade).

Emir · · Cottonwood Heights, UT · Joined May 2014 · Points: 15

That's not the dog but thanks for the post. I hope the folks who lost Jade are reunited with her soon.

How old is this dog you found? Yeah I know...guess.

It might be a ranch dog that got separated on a cattle drive, I've found/run across a few of these in the desert.

I am interested! Contact me.

Because he said he liked the dog and might adopt her...and I wanted to give them that space to think about the offer. Whats it to you!

Her name is Desert Lily the Swell Dog and she's very sweet, albeit a tad submissive and at times skittish. She loves to romp around with my other dogs, and is an aggressive cuddler. She's not an indoors dog and prefers a dry, sheltered spot outside even during recent rainstorms.

I think she's at least part American Dingo (aka Carolina Dog). In any case, she's clearly spent some time in the desert on her own, judging by the fact that she built a nest from firewood debris she found packed in paper bags in my yard, or by the way she shakes, then tears into various toys - she hunted to survive, no doubt.

I wish i could keep her but the prospect of looking aftet 3 dogs isn't really appealing. If you have a yard and are looking for a sweet, very agile&athletic dog, give me a shout.

Emir.
