I really loved my Dragons but when it comes time to get them reslung you get hosed if you live in the states.

No one actually has them for sale yet though, right?

Nice, except they still lack the thumb loop which is a total make or break for me, so I'm out.

If there is an advantage to "Triple Grip," how much wear from use would negate the advantage?

I've got a few of the new Dragons on hand for media testing. They've just arrived and I've only been out with them one day so conclusions will probably have to be taken in the appropriate high-sodium manner, but if anyone has specific questions about the cams themselves or how the size/specs compare, I'd be happy to field them.

FWIW, this is what I did with my old dragons. I actually came to like it better than the original sling because the bar tack gets plugged in the eyelet if you clip the wrong loop while extending the sling. Additionally, the tech cord ties off easier which allows for taking advantage of the relatively short stem and clipping higher when aiding. Yeah, it's a niche benefit and probably not enough to move the needle too significantly, but passingly nice nonetheless.

Caccia equipment reslings them with 1/2in dyneema, which believe it or not, pulls through better than the original stuff.

In fact, I prefer it.

The original would get tangled and stuck. Not sure why. But the new 1/2in is smooth as silk.

Fwiw, I get nothing from this recommendation, but I have had a set of cams done, and they came back great. I also just sent off DMM Mambas and some tricams to be reslung and should have them back early next week.
