The very large block at the bird belay on The Diving Board and a smaller one on Anthill Direct have both been trundled. Keep an eye out for fresh loose blocks below the Diving Board bird belay and on lower Redguard/Anthill.

How do you like your Acrux's?

Thanks Greg and others there that morning for your continued service to Eldo!

As the second half of the video clearly suggests, this was a coordinated effort with Eldo park rangers and staff. Spotters were below to make sure the coast was clear. Without this type of setup, trundling can be very dangerous and can result in loss of life.

Please tread carefully.

The stuff under that block was pretty loose and rotten. I didn't want to leave it as a surprise for the next climber.
The Anthill block was smaller but a much greater danger - I barely touched it and it slid (and that is a very high-traffic route.)

Thanks for the community service. Climbed those routes in the 70's which is where my mentor taught me that some things need to be left untouched. Nowadays on single pitch things where we don't have to worry about people below we try to clean all that crap off.

Thanks for doing that. I like that you had spotters and coordination.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
