Hello! I'll be traveling to Phoenix in mid-April and am looking for good sport climbing destinations within driving distance. Any recommendations? I'm comfortable leading up to 10a/b, so mostly hoping to find moderates.

Jacks Canyon. 2.5 hrs from I-17 Phoenix. Very short approach makes the drive worth it, basically an outdoor rock gym, climbing 10a/b you will have more than you can eat for the day.

Queen Creek. Its east of town 1-1.5 depending on what part of the valley you are in.

Isolation Canyon is 3/5 of the drive to Jack's with a moderate but significantly longer approach hike. April is usually very nice out there. Lots of great climbs in your range. You can't go wrong with Jacks. If you go to Queen, it may be getting pretty warm by then. If so, try Atlantis. If not, the Pond.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
