Warning Access Issue: Echo Canyon Seasonal Closure: Jan. 1 - second Saturday in April (and sometimes longer) DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

Typical Echo cobbles and edges lead to a steeper mid section where you will find the crux.  Sure, it's a nice warm up, but it's also just fun climbing on slightly more vertical rock than the neighbors to the left.   Named after the train conductors who like to blow their horns right while you are at the crux.

Location Suggest change

On the right side of the Dry Wall where it is less steep. The second route right of the little grove of trees and bushes.   The first several bolts are glue-ins which should help identifying it.  5 of the bolts were swapped out for glue-ins in 2019 to better align the bolts with the climbing.   The route "Kevin's 11" is very close on the left at the start before diverging about 15' up.
