Female Climber Wanted
Casey, I now have three very attractive outdoorsy ladies that have struck out with local men. One man couldn't even accompany his girl to the ER and later couldn't be bothered to help get her car from the hospital garage, citing that he "had a long day at work and want to get things done around the house." |
3 days ago? I think mighty Casey has struck out . . . |
Tbol, one girl is in Parker looking for more climbing partners. I e-mailed you. She's super cool. |

I concur with Tim. There are a lot of single female climbers in Colorado. Men that take climbing seriously here tend to have over inflated egos and be quite selfish. I lost a relationship in part with a climber, that I met climbing, because I didn't climb 5.13 only 5.11+. Good riddance. |

Since there are so many CO climbers in this thread... Is there a perception among CO climbers that their cohort is unusually douchey? I've actually heard a lot of group self-deprecation from CO people I've climbed with in the past, even though my particular partners have generally been great people. |

I certainly wouldn't say that attitude is representative of all Colorado climbers though. Most of the guys I know that climb hard are actually extremely humble and less arrogant than the rest of the crowd. If your climbing grade impacts your relationship, it probably isn't really a great fit anyway... Good luck Casey! You sound like a great guy - hopefully you are getting some private messages from the ladies (since most of the action on this thread has been from other guys!) |
OP, maybe you should tell the single ladies what you are looking for in a...partner. Does she need to lead or follow a minimum grade? Politically conservative or liberal? Blonde, brunette, raven, or redhead? Career minded or carefree and full of wonderlust? Rebel or responsible? Is distance an issue and what is the preferred state or city? Any deal breakers? Bump for good luck. A good friend is coming up on his third year wedding anniversary (and first child) with a woman who we met camping in the site next to us in Jtree. |

True Casey story - one time in a freak storm, he made it through the night in his tent that had blown over, but stayed intact and was just kinda laying on its side/top. To celebrate his victory, he accidentally peed on the ice axe I had lent him for the climb in the night, and it froze all over the handle. |
