Hi all,

  • Shameless self promotion alert*
I am a guide working on branding/marketing myself. Trying really hard not to be a tool about it so please be kind. Anyway, I put together a blog, photo gallery, media sharing website so I have a place to point people when they look for me online besides Facebook. I'd love some feedback from the community about improvements or suggests that you all might have.

Thanks all,

Max

Your website looks more like a Facebook-type blog then a website designed to sell guiding services. If the point of the website is to sell your services, make that the main focus. It took me a few minutes to figure out what your rates and services are, as well as where you actually guide at. That information needs to be immediately available since it's the single most relevant page on the site. Create a tab on the navigation bar that links to your classes, areas you operate and rates.

Agreed with 20kn. You need an additional navigation link called "Guiding" or something along those lines. Front and center. Don't make it harder for your clients to give you money.

Thanks for the feedback, I agree with you too. With out troubling you with the minutia of my work situation and the company I am employed by, I'll make some changes to better showcase the whole purpose of my site with a drop down menu and more info. Thanks again for the feedback.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
