Building/Selling Custom Volumes

There's a lot out there about DIY volume builds for home walls, however, from what I've seen most aren't much more than plywood, glue, and a smattering of t-nuts. I'm aware that creating a silicone mold and casting my own is a bit far fetched. I have a small shop at home and would like to start creating some of these volumes for my home wall and to sell and give to friends with walls of their own. Short story, long...any helpful info from professional hold builders and ideas to make a highly professional looking product would be appreciated.
