Tallulah Gorge Peregrines....Part Two.

Oh no.... |

Stretch wall time |

The SCC has tried multiple times times since last spring to set a meeting with staff to discuss the possibility of a partial cliff closure as opposed to closing the entire gorge. The SCC has also asked to address the issue of climbing permits being denied for no apparent reason. The staff said "OK" to the request but every time we tried to set a date to actually meet and discuss they would not commit. The SCC is now working on setting a meeting with Georgia state level staff so we're not at the mercy of the Tallulah Gorge staff. Thanks. |

well thats a down right bummer |

Wow, Flip flops and Crocks are non approved footwear for obtaining a license to the area. That kinda says it all, I just can't stop laughing. |

UncleBen wrote:Oh no.... Tallulah Gorge State ParkEssentially they are tired of us calling asking about climbing permits for the day. In "anticipation"! We need a community certified approach similar to CO for monitoring raptor nesting. Probably way too progressive for GA. |

All because of some butt puppet had to go yap about a bird attacking him or something. I'm so glad I moved out west. |

Rhett, I am still not sure dude....so did you move or something, west of the Mississippi? You tend to be very vague on this in every single post you make. |

Yessir, I'm in WY now. |

Um, yes....so we are all clear... The President, CEO, and Founder of the South Georgia Hard Aid and Alpinism Club (SGHAAC) abandoned his post. |
