puffy pants for women

I am looking for synthetic puffy pants for women. A men's small (at least with Brooks Range) is substantially to big. I've checked Rab, MH, Patagonia, and haven't been able to find anything. A man's extra small might work but the only brand that has an xs (Patagonia) is apparently discontinuing them.

I'm having the exact same issue. What, our butts don't get cold?!?

I tried these, Lole Magic Pants:

Only when I got them I found that the back of the legs is just powerstretch. Lame.

I think I'm going to try these next, Burton Olympus Pant:

I'm a size 0-2, so a men's small is truly a no-go for me. I'm actually looking for a pair for fly fishing, to wear under my waders. Sure, my waders would probably hold up a too big pair, but it would be nice to be able to wear $100+ pants without my waders, too!

Not sure if you'd consider down instead of synthetic, but I have a pair of light down puffy pants from Montbell that I have been using for years. Looks like they still make something similar to what I have.

One of these in XS is probably your best bet.

These are essentially R1 pants and are very warm. Could be paired with a baselayer pant you already own for enough warmth.

insulated pants aren't form fitting. I'm a solid medium in mens and I wear a Montbell XL (because I got a good deal). Synch up the smalls tight and they should be fine. Or...hem them to make them work.

TNF Korea has some great looking puffy pants that fit well on the female competitors I met.

The Korean sizing is at least one full size smaller than in America.

I wear the Black Diamond Stance pant in a small (normally wear a size 4), it's not quite cut for female proportions (oversized in the waist and snug around my ass/hips), however the belt more substantial than a drawstring and is enough to keep them secure. I don't know your size, but I wouldn't want to size down to a XS, personally.

Arc'teryx's men's often come in an XS since they are popular in Asia. I have no personal experience with Montbell, but I bet they run small. Everything I own from Japanese Uniqlo is a L (!).

Here's Stance in an XS at EMS:

Montbell has some stuff cut for asian market, but most is pretty accurately sized for american proportions, if on the slightly smaller side(I'm a mens S/XS patagonia, size S Montbell)

Eddie Bauer has their First Ascent Igniter pants on sale right now. Female-specific cut, 100g of Primaloft Gold, waterproof knees and seat, full-length side zips. $120.

Note: I do not work for Eddie Bauer, I do not own these pants and I am not a female.

I have Patagonia brand pants that seems to outlast anything else I've tried. Definitely recommend. Especially for layers but still not bulky.

Montbell should have exactly what you are looking for.

Patagonia is soon going to have a form fitting pair of puff pants for women (as well as men). My girlfriend has a proto type pair that fit super well and she is 5'3" and 115lbs. They are cut well enough to actually climb hard in. These aren't going to be large bulky outwear pants like most puff pants. More along the lines of baselayer/midlayer pant cut. No zippers or bulky cuffs.

Another vote for Montbell. I'm 5'5" and 125#, and I have a pair of XS Montbell synthetic puffy pants. I wear these over whatever else I'm wearing at camp when alpine or winter camping, and they fit pretty well. Full side zips and pockets, too.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
