I've never climbed at Stone and was thinking about a run over President's weekend. What temps should I be looking for to make a go/no go decision? Is cloudy and 45 degrees too cold? I know its south facing so lots of sun just don't know where the breaking point is when its cloudy?

Not at all, since Stone Mountain gets so much sun, I would actually consider 45 degrees to be ideal conditions to climb at stone mountain.

Greg,

If you're talking cloudy, it's not going to be the temps that get you so much as the wind. If it's windy and cold AND cloudy, you could be looking at some shivering. Any one of those 3 not true, then Game On. Stone's conditions are best on a chilly winter day.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
