I loved my Fish Big Wall harness. It's swami and leg loops. No buckle or bar tacks to fail. Owned at least 4 of them. Fish discontinued. :-(
I like the Petzl Adama cause it has adjustable leg loops. I wish the back gear loops stood out more. Petzl should reinforce the areas on the back of the leg loops where the elastic attaches. That seems to crack and wear first. Ballistic cloth anyone?
I like my Misty Mountain Cadillac.
I'd agree with kemple sr. on the sizing range. Go to just try a selection of different brands and models
I wear a small (28-29") Petzl and have for years. I really like them. In fact, they've gotten better.
My first Petzl, a Meteor in 1995, was built exactly like a Medium and used a shorter waistbelt. The result was that the gear loops were too far back on one side. I had a similar issue to a lesser degree on a Jump. I've had this same issue on Mad Rock and Wild Country harnesses. My Sama (It's my third) just doesn't have that issue, it's totally centered.
I would assume that all Petzl harnesses are balanced but I couldn't wear a medium even if I ate Aleks, so I don't really know.
