So I have pretty wide feet, and I've been climbing in La Sportiva Evo GTX, my feet hurt like hell climbing, Im wondering if La Sportive boots run narrow? Would I be better switching to Scarpa? anyone else with wide feet have a good boot that works for them?

Thanks!

those look good but it would be awesome to have a boot with a toe welt...

Wider feet here and scarpa freney xt work well for me.
I use sportiva tango for alpine and generally can only use them with a thin sock, otherwise they are way too narrow in the forefoot.

I have super wide feet. I always blow out my climbing and approach shoes, and that is only after enduring the pain of my foot being somewhat crushed. Ski boots are a nightmare as well.

That being said, I climb in the Nepal Cubes. I Normally wear a 10(43) in a street shoe, a 42.5 in Sportiva Mythos climbing shoes and I sized my Cubes at 44, so that I would not be crushed. So far they seam pretty comfortable, although having just gotten them I don't have long term experience with them yet. My biggest worry was my heel coming up while climbing, but so far I haven't had this problem. The first lace past the lock down is pretty tight/close together, so if the boots stretch much, this might be an issue.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
