Planning on heading out to exit 38 far side on Saturday, I know it's going to be cold but besides that is it climbable right now?
Thanks

The farther areas like Interstate Park may be dry as they get some good sun exposure and the rock is more granite-like. Major concern would be seepage, though… The ground stays pretty wet this time of year and the predominant "rhinostone" tends to maintain a lot of that moisture through till spring/summer. I personally would have more confidence in finding dry rock at Mt. Erie or Index.

I was out there last week, and a fair amount of stuff was climbable (lots of other stuff wasn't though). I'd probably recommend heading to Erie or Index instead, but if you're set on 38 you'll have fun.

Vantage dries super fast… arid environment, sun exposed, and (usually) a slight breeze make for quick drying rock. Even in the rain (so long as the wind isn't howling) you can still enjoy dry climbs on the lower overhanging walls. Judging by the forecast, I'd say anytime after 12p on Saturday and all day Sunday should be pretty solid. Sunday especially… might head out that way myself.

I've climbed sunshine wall with a slight drizzle, the wall actually stayed dry the whole time. With the usual breeze it's the fastest drying spot I've been.
