Ice climbing etiquette

I was just looking for different view points. I've learned a few ways I could and should have done things differently. I don't think the other climber was a jerk, just poor communication between both of us. Sorry if I came off as looking to blame someone else for what happened, wasnt my intention. I won't be getting into this situation again, I've been climbing for awhile now and definitely should have made a better call....and I'll definitely remember why I don't usually take part in forums on the Internet, but thanks for all the info.

Buuuut, I guess what you were really looking for was... "YEAH MAN THAT GUY WAS AN ASSHOLE! You guys totally rock and are kickass ice climbers." There; panties all nice and un-bunched now? Back to lurking mode (and I wonder why I'm about half-way to giving up the sport altogether).
Don't give up the sport Kevin, give up the internet. 14erworld of old was way less catty than the stuff today and that's saying a lot.

Kevin Craig, don't you DARE give up the sport. At least not until I climb with you at least once.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
