A friend and I are flying in to Bogota and want to climb as much as possible while we are there. We are wondering what the best way to get to the climbing? best places to stay. Guidebooks or topos. We are bringing ropes and draws, and plan to climb primarily sport. We climb up to easy 12s and would love to catch up with anyone who is interested. Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Find your way to Portal Norte which is part of the transmilenio bus system. In the inside loop you'll see a sign for Suesca. Wait there, buses come all day, should be around 6,000 and is a little over an hours ride.

Get off in the strip down there hill from Suesca. All the hostels here are good but I'd recommend "El Nomada"

The best guidebook will be the locals who are very friendly. Many of the routes are mixed but there is also some great sport. Cheers!

I´ll be here in those days, just send me a PM or e-mail when you arrive and we can climb in another place (Macheta) and also in suesca...

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
