Southern AZ is full of so many A-holes. Just kidding. A few dozen testy internet threads and every body thinks we are really effed up. We are more like brothers and sisters stuck in a car on a long road trip with the parents! Thanks Christian for reaching out!

Wow! I am so excited to see you got this done Eric. I hadn't heard the news but the Mt Project home page randomly showed this forum post introducing the new edition of Squeezing The Lemon. Congratulations! Dave Turner and I are hoping to visit Tucson sometime this summer after the raptor closure ends so we can climb at The Fortress and the Ravens. Will be in touch if that comes together. I am glad to order a copy before you undoubtedly sell out.
Merry Christmas.

Does Mountain Project get a share of the guidebook revenue? They have been doing an excellent job advertising for it.

They already got their share when they sold the site to REI for $10,000,000 using the information a lot of us gave them for free! You and me not MP.com and a bunch of folks are doing the advertising when we post on this forum which brings the Guidebook to peoples attention. At this point I might get two orders a week from people who looked at this forum. Thanks for helping get the news out.

Thanks Eric, glad to hear the temps were great!

Regarding MP getting its "share", Eric and others have contributed a huge number of local routes to the MP database. It's been very convenient for me to pull up beta online if I forget my book. It looks like a win for everyone.

damn really? $10 million? wow.

eric (and others) have worked exceptionally hard to make the new guidebook a reality, and i know from experience that the monetary rewards from these "labor of love" undertakings are minimal if you're lucky, nonexistent or negative if you're not. if anyone demanded eric remit a portion of his guidebook sales to MP then i'd probably stop providing them my free labor of adding routes, comments, etc.

Thank You Eric!! I heard a rumor that you actually made Mt. Lemmon with your bare hands, some spit, and some desert sand. Any truth to that rumor?
