satirical musings about eastern climbers

Seems like a lot of what you guys are posting is simply noob behavior and not nessicairly Eastern specific. BTW most of my climbing partners consider 13s standard and only carry a few 16s. I have 5 10cm on my rack the rest are 13 and a 16 and a 19 for threads.

^^^ True, but also mainly ice quality is pretty shitty - you either climb bulletproof dinnerplates in negative 40s or rotten delaminated by rain ice...

More like "would murder Ken Nichols with rotary hammer drill"...

yeah,
this thread, though i've lived in the east my entire life, seems majority unspecific to the east.

I live very close to the dark side and they still exist in surprising numbers.

I thought Ken Nichols was an imaginary character that was used as an explanation for disappearing bolts. Kind of like a mystical mountain man who disappears in the fog with a hamer and chisel on his belt and a crowbar in the sheath strapped to his back.

No. He's real. You can take it from me. He's really eerie, but there are ways to deal with him.

We have to know different jams, because of the humidity factor!

Some people think he is a yeti. But like the yeti he does exist.
