Owens River gorge beta

I have never been there,

1) generally warm enough for climbing in Late December early Jan?

2) how dog friendly is it?

1) Sometimes. Check the weather! It's been cold here recently. Temps in Central Gorge are generally just a little cooler than in Bishop.

2) Dogs are common, please please pick up the poop. The approach to Central involves steep steps down some large boulders.

The lower gorge Lower Gorge and the upper Upper Gorge have approaches that are easier with dogs. Lower is easier than upper.

Climbing is good in December, but you may want to seek sun (or shade) depending on the temps.

There are plenty of other places to go other than the gorge, especially if bouldering is an option.
