Black dome in Asheville is your best bet. Diamond has a small climbing section as well

As much as I want to support sunrift, every time I go in there for gear they don't have what I want. Their selection is smaller than black dome on climbing. They focus more on clothes, bikes, camping, and kayaking. If it is something very specific, it is almost better to order.

no stock no business
As much as I love supporting local businesses I cant stand ordering things through shops. I can order stuff from my damn couch I didn't drive across town to order something so I could drive across town again in a week to get it. For me this started with bike parts a while ago... I broke this part, I want to continue riding ASAP you have what I need I will give you money right now no questions asked, wont even check for a better price online. If you don't have the part I will order it myself and have it delivered to my door and question coming back in the future as it may be a waste of time.
sorry my rant is over.

I suspect sunrift doesn't sell a whole lot of trad gear and thus don't stock much outside of basic climbing stuff for bouldering TR and sport.

made my second visit to Black Dome at lunch today, they have a great selection!

I can understand the frustration with ordering from the LBS or climbing shop. That said sometimes having a relationship with your local shop can come in handy. I bought my DH from Fantlyk, my local bike shop at the time. I thought buying one online but stuck with the LBS. Well the frame went on recall and the shop ended up getting me a better frame since the manufacturer didn't have my bike in stock. There's been more than once their mechanics pushed me to the front line and had me back in the park within an hour when the repair was over my head or I couldn't figure it out.

I'm not trying to tell you what to do. Just saying bike shops have their place.

They have fooled me a couple of times. Although, maybe I just use it as an excuse to go to the brewery next door. I think REI Greenville may have a better selection. There is an REI in Asheville as well, but my real target is Neo Burrito. One of the bike shops near the old Looking Glass Outfitters has a few pieces of climbing gear also.

Black Dome in Asheville has a large selection of climbing gear including shoes. Great people to deal with.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
