Hello, I'm trying to plan this trip in December and looking for a partner.

Sometime between December 11-22. I will fly out of Denver and into Mexico City. When I checked a couple weeks ago you could get round trip for under $400. You can, of course, fly out of wherever and meet in Mexico City and we can go from there.

A little about me: I'm 35, live in Grand Junction, I have been training pretty hard for this and don't foresee a problem summiting unless there's a weather issue. For a point of reference, when I did the Colorado 14ers I would always pass considerably more people than people would pass me, so I'm in good shape but I'm not superhuman.

Looking to find someone ASAP before ticket prices go up so if interested send me a PM and let's see if we are compatible!

-Mike

I'm traveling with a friend in Guatemala until the 22nd, and then meeting up in Potrero to climb on the 9th. The time in between is free.. I was also interested in climbing Orizaba. I dont know what flights in the post christmas time are looking like, but if they're not too bad, hit me up!

Pull the trigger and tack on Ixta! Good luck.

If you don't find a partner, you'll likely have plenty of company on the mountain anyways.

As far as shape goes, it's less demanding than most of the 14ers. The vert is about the same, but people typically move much slower on Orizaba.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
