Grand Canyon summit climbing

Are there any locals in the flag/Sedona area that are into climbing some of the summits in the Grand Canyon? Not only am I looking for partners, but I'd also love to get some info. I've spent a fair amount of time in the canyon doing some canyoneering, but finding climbers interested in that level of adventure is fairly difficult. You almost have to embrace the approach more than the actual climb. Anyway, I find the challenge of the summits in the canyon very interesting. Hit me up if you have any info, or, a desire to seek out some summits.

The site has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the multiple comments of "I've done x number of summits" or "I've done x number of miles" is a bit too much for me ( and others I'm sure). The amount of ego in the climbing communities is getting old.

Yes, I am absolutely interested in GC Summits. Tried to find partners for a Christmas trip last year, but didn't end up happening. I've got a copy of the GC Summits Select book (I think pseudalpine had a hand in writing). If you want to meet for a tea or coffee sometime, let me know.

pseudalpine - Thanks for the link to the site.

Any of you lads who have done Pegasus on Hayden and have any images?
We're looking for some.

Anyone with other climbing shots in the ditch, I'm sure Steve would be happy to get copies.

Hey Paul,
I've got some friends that climbed Pegasus recently and they might have some good action shots. I'll see if I can put them in touch with you.

I have several of Pegasus, and of/on Hayden in general. What do you want them for?

Hey Mike:
Steve Grossman's next historical expose of AZ climbing is for technical routes in the Grand Canyon, next March 5 & 6, 2015 at the Museum of N. Az.
The Templed Horizon - Grand Canyon Climbing

Pegasus is on the list. I have one image of the climb so it's odd I don't have others. I have a couple of pics from Tim Coats but so far nothing that shows anything other than the start of pitch 2. Would love a pic of the bulging hand crack or fun 3rd pitch up and over the last nose.

If anyone has done any FA's in the park or up on the Vermillion Cliffs (The FA of the Tooth of Time is being included, rightfully so in my mind) then now is the time to contact Steve (or me or pseudalpine as we're in touch w Steve.)

Still looking to gather info on ascents. It's a bit of a big area :-0
And I know Steve is looking for awesome pics for the presentations.
Fame and fortune, well, maybe image credit, awaits photographers.

I know the hunt is on for the poster image.
Surprisingly hard to find a good lead image.
One usually doesn't a photographer along.

Mike,
PM me and I'll get you a better email.

Cool, thanks Flex.
I'm waiting to hear from Andrew and Zach also. Hoping from everyone we can pull some things together.

FYI, I recently discovered the FA of Hayden was Chauncey (aka Chuck) Parker and Bruce Grubbs. And that Merle Wheeler did the 2nd ascent via a 5.7 but without a rope. How it went without an ascent for so long is interesting.

I believe that makes for 4 routes on Hayden, that we know about.
So many things have been done down there that no one knows about so if anyone has done new things, now's the time to help coalesce the info.

PM me and I'll share emails.
