What climber could resist the Ames Monument?

Denali, the Grand, Devils Tower, Castleton Tower, the Diamond, Half Dome and the Mathes Crest come to mind. All these features made me say, "I want to climb that immediately" when I first saw them.

This is way more aesthetic, plus bragging rights for sending something "X" rated.

Yes, it does (several in Oregon). Some are lake stacks (Turnip Rock). There are stacks in Canada and Mexico.

I'm hardly a desert aficionado, but the Fisher Towers really look incredible. It's hard to think of more striking features than those.

Oh. Cassin Ridge.

Great thread idea! But seriously this thread needs pictures.

How about the Rainbow Wall?

Rainbow Wall

And they are not in the same league as the big walls and alpine lines, but the United States has some seriously gorgeous boulders as well. Here's a couple from Bishop:

The one and only Grandpa Peabody boulder:

Atari, also in Bishop:

I still think some of the coolest looking rock I have seen is at HP40 (I hate the place and it annoys the heck out of me everytime I go because of that one V2 problem but still really cool)

HP40 definitely blew my mind when I went. Unfortunately it was July in Alabama and V3 slopers felt like V-Impossible.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
