Remedies for hand injuries?

Sliced my finger open real good on a broken beer bottle. Was wondering if anybody knew of some good remedies (outside of the obvious treatments of course) that can make for a quicker heal so I can get back to climbing. Thanks!

There's no quickening or improving the wonder of the human body's healing power.... Skin cells just have to do their thing. Keep it clean and let it happen.

Super glue. I put super glue on anything deep. It dulls the pain and because there's alcohol in it, kills bacteria. Peel it off after climbing and let it dry out.

Though not a hand injury, I once barefoot kicked a bulldog sized lava rock while running at a full sprint with a chick on my shoulders on a beach in Maui. (It was dark. I was drinking.) Split my big toe open in two places and I'm sure stitches would have been a good idea. The wounds were packed with sand. That's the night I learned the beaches in Hawaii are riddled with Staph infection.

I was living in the beach so went to the pharmacy and bought super glue, hand sanitizer, and iodine. Applied the sanitizer, let dry, applied the iodine, let dry, then finally applied the super glue. After about 6 hours the glue will naturally begin to separate from the skin. Peeled it off and let dry. Anything in the wound came off with the glue. Repeat. Did this religiously for 3 weeks. Never got staph infection.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
