I know all the Trono climbers are sworn to secrecy but I am looking for some topos or any beta on routs such as the south face and lojoa or any of the cragging. I have been there before and climbed the throne according to the old poor mans patagonia article (epic) and was hoping to have a little more info on the climbing this time. I know there is tons of established lines and I would love some beta on how to find some of them. If you are worried about being ousted for telling secrets then you can PM me, any info is helpful thanks.

Hey Cameron,

This is pretty good right here.

Hit me up. I need to get there again. Unfinished business. It is amazing that other climbers are interested but afraid to pull the trigger and get down there.

Hi,
I just saw on that post that you have some data about El Gran Trono Blanco. I will go there with a friend and I'm looking for the road, the best time of the year to go and any datas that might be helpful. I know there is kind of no publishing law but please, is there anybody who would like to help? I'll be there just few days (5-7) and expecting to do PanAm and Giraffe in free or artif climbing depends on the info we collect,

The "no publishing" rule has been voided. Oriol Anglada has published a guide (two volumes) to Southern and Northern Mexico including Canon Tajo.

You can find it online. I bought it. Look up rockclimbing-mexico.com

Thanks, I can't wait to receive your email and I saw the guide but I found the info a little bit incomplete. Not real way to get there, nothing about the season (automn, springs, winter or summer?) I guess end-october and march are the best as usual in Mexico. Thanks for the info to come and I will make a promess to not give it for any publication as you explain about the rights!

Thanks for the info about the weather! I'll wait for your email with the info about the way to go and the other data to not break the publishing rights! I appreciate your help!

Whats the updates on the guidebooks? I'll probably pick up the Mexico North book. Climb Baja-An intellectual property lawyer in both the USA and in Mexico has told you can legally copyright and defend a route name and description and the court will allow a lawsuit to proceed if they are published without your consent? Sounds very farfetched. Are you will to put up a truckload of cash to hire American and Mexican lawyers to test your theory? Seems like the correct info could have been given to Kennedy years ago. Instead, someone else went ahead and did it and now the haters are angry the author didn't heed the haters input. Would you prefer the author just give the routes new names and reword the descriptions?

ClimbBaja wrote:Manuel, Perhaps you meant to write, "The 'no publishing' rule has been violated." That would be more accurate. My copyrights are still legally in effect, both in the USA and Mexico. Anglada published a limited amount of info on the area. His description contains many factual errors.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
