Looking for Yosemite Valley partner/leader through October

I know it's a long shot and maybe not the most desirable offer, but thought it can't hurt to post...

I'm a new climber (about 4 months), have lived in Yosemite Valley for about a year and finally gave climbing a shot despite a pretty solid fear of heights. I love the shit out of it and now I'm itching to do as much as I can, but I'm not leading yet at all. I have everything I need to follow, but no rack etc. to lead. I can follow pretty comfortably on 5.6/5.7, flail around pretty well on 5.8 (Bishop's Terrace, etc.), and can sometimes flail my way through an easy 5.9 move on a good day. So... very beginner. I'm an excellent belayer though! And I work hard to be a good partner for crag or multi-pitch. I'm still learning the ropes but I think I make a pretty decent partner on easy stuff.

If you're coming through the Valley (or live here!) and want to lead something easy to warm up or for a rest day or whatever, hit me up! I'm usually available evenings and weekends. I have a 60m rope if needed. I've climbed mostly with guys here but would love to find more lady climbers to partner with! Either gender is fine. Only interested in climbing with people who are SUPER safe, as I'm still new enough to be a bit overwhelmed by the risk of not doing shit right.

Let me know if you want to play on some rocks in this beautiful season!

I'm rolling into the valley tonight (10/9). And staying through the weekend. Have a 60m and double rack. I lead 5.8 and follow 5.10. Have climbed in the valley a decent amount.

Hey Jessica,

I led my first trad routes a few weeks ago (5.6/7 range)--have a full rack+ and want to lead a few of the routes I followed last year in the Valley (5.6/7). I am safe and comfortable climbing thru the 5.8 range--5.9 on a good day :)

I was thinking Munginella or similar routes. Would be available on Sunday 10/25 or the following weekend? Maybe on 10/24 as well if you are game :)

Call/Text me @ 925-482-4263
