Howdy MP,

I'll be in Yosemite, most likely the Valley (but not opposed to Tuolumne), all day Friday, October 9 through Sunday, October 11.

I feel comfortable leading 5.8, and can comfortably clean 5.10a/b (maybe higher grade, haven't been tested yet).

I'd be interested in swapping leads on Central Pillar of Frenzy, Selaginella, Braille Book, and/or cragging at Church Bowl or El Cap Base. I also wouldn't mind following your climb, and swapping leads on pitches within my ability.

I've got a 60m rope, a basic rack of stoppers #5-#13, dmm offsets, cams #.4 to #3, half a dozen quickdraws, half a dozen alpine draws, a nut tool, and tons of PSYCHE!

If you're interested, let's talk! PM or text 305-926-5056.

Cheers!

Hey Dylan, any interest in in climbing the South Face of the Column this weekend? Would be up for moderate free climbing as well if you aren't interested in doing a wall.

Hi James and Dylan,

I plan on being up this weekend as well (Friday to Sunday Oct 9-11). I would love to climb with both of you if you are open for a third person. Im just getting back into trad after a taking a year off for shoulder surgery and recovery. I was up there last weekend leading 5.6's comfortably, but willing to step up to a 5.7 lead in the valley. I can follow and clean up to 5.9 (5.10 with a little struggle).

Or if after you two have climbed together and want to do something easier, I was also looking into The Grack, Center (5.6) and After Six (5.6).

Let me know if any of you are interested. I have a set of back diamond c4 cams, a set of nuts and offset nuts, 6 quickdraws, 6 slings, a cordelette, lots of webbing, a rope, 6 locking caribiners.

James...how long are you around for? I'm down for a short wall. I have plenty of gear but I work this weekend. Then off next week.

To the OP I left the valley yesterday and 120 was closed for snow so check to make sure it's open again. Good luck and have fun.

Was Tioga pass closed, or the 120 exit from the valley? Did you have to go through Modesto?

Tioga pass was closed at the turnoff near crane flat due to snow on the night of10/3. It's likely open again but should check to make sure.

I'm rolling into the valley tonight (10/9). And staying through the weekend. Have a 60m and double rack. I lead 5.8 and follow 5.10. Have climbed in the valley a decent amount.
